Creative Writing: Turning images into stories
23 Jun | with Gurmeet Singh
Overview
This creative writing workshop, hosted by writer Gurmeet Singh, draws inspiration from the surreal, wordless world of TOILETPAPER Magazine — known for its bold, absurd, and provocative imagery.
Using photographs from the TOILETPAPER exhibition as prompts, you will turn visual art into poetry, short stories, fake ads, personal essays, and more. Through guided exercises, you explore different text forms, develop tone and structure, and experiment with creative responses. The workshop also offers practical tools for editing, building your personal writing routine, and combining text and image in your individual artistic practice.
No prior writing experience is required — just curiosity and a playful mindset.
Ticket includes access to all exhibitions on this day.
